One Time Volunteer Opportunities

Work outside for Community Outreach- groups welcome!
Benton County Community Outreach is in need of individuals or groups to help maintain their grounds. Pull weeds, rake leaves and plant debris, prune plants, plant flowers and shrubs, and maintain tools and equipment. Hours are flexible, as needed, during daylight hours, and weekend hours can be arranged for groups.

AmeriCorps VISTAs wanted
Are you a college-level student interested in community service? The CSC Building Bridges program is now recruiting a select few AmeriCorps*VISTA members for six summer positions to perform volunteer service across Linn, Benton, and Lincoln counties from June 21 to August 20, 2010. Scrapbooker Wanted!
Feeling crafty? Volunteer Caregivers of Albany is looking for someone to transform newspaper clippings, photos, and awards into a nice scrapbook or two. All supplies provided. Work at their office or in your home. No expertise required; it can be as simple or as fancy as you like. Help this wonderful group get their archival materials out of the cardboard box and into a nice book that people can flip through.

Volunteer Caregivers provide transportation for persons who cannot use Dial-A-Bus, shopping assistance, light housekeeping, friendly visitation chore service, yard work, minor home repair, and relief for family caregivers.

Front desk volunteers needed - choose a schedule that works best for you (any day of the week, 9am-1pm or 1pm-5pm). Great opportunity for student looking for business experience. Excellent for networking to find that perfect job. Ideal for a mom or dad who have free time when the kids are back in school. Put up posters for LBvision!
Want to help people find volunteer opportunities? Spread the word about LBvision Volunteer Center! Take a stack of LBvision posters and put one up wherever you go. On-campus posting would be especially helpful, but we would love to see posters all over Linn and Benton counties.
