Nonprofit Frequently Asked Questions

Will this service cost anything for the nonprofit organizations that want to join?
The LBvision website requires a $25.00 yearly membership fee to organizations that want to join and have their information posted on our website. Donations help sustain the program. Scholarships are available for organizations that retain no paid staff.

What criteria must my organization meet to sign up as an LBvision member organization?
Your organization must be an Oregon certified 501(c)(3) designated nonprofit organization or a public organization. Your organization's mission must be appropriate for all ages, including young children, as young children and teens use LBvision to find local volunteer opportunities. LBvision member organizations information, including page links must also be appropriate for all ages to view. Also, the site administrator reserves the right to refuse service to anyone based on content matter.

How can LBvision work for my organization?
LBvision helps recruit volunteers for your organization through the use of the Internet. It reduces your workload by recruiting volunteers for your organization 24/7. We ask that you contact the potential volunteers quickly, even when you are not currently needing more volunteers. LBvision is not used as a vehicle for fundraising or for news updates, yet you may recruit volunteers to support those activities.

How do I sign up with LBvision?
Nonprofits can sign up with RSVP’s LBvision website via hardcopy registration forms, or directly on the website. Once the organization has signed up, and they have become a live link on the LBvision website, then potential volunteers may view that information and send requests for more information on volunteer opportunities for any particular nonprofit they are interested in.

Is LBvision a nonprofit service?
Yes. LBvision is a nonprofit service of the Linn Benton RSVP, also a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, operating as Linn-Benton Volunteers. RSVP is a department of Community Services Consortium. Both programs are seeking to increase volunteerism in both Linn and Benton counties.

Can nonprofit organizations search for volunteers directly?
No, the organizations cannot search for volunteers directly, but the volunteers can directly search for potential volunteer sites through our website. Again, all information presented by potential volunteers is confidential.

What sort of volunteer will I get, as a nonprofit organization?
Volunteers come to this website from every walk of life. You will find many different types of people from many different occupations that would like to volunteer for your organization. Anyone looking to make a difference in the community may visit this website for information on exciting volunteer opportunities in the area.
