What is the main goal of LBvision?
The LBvision Volunteer Center was designed to promote volunteerism in Linn and Benton counties. Its main goal is to connect nonprofit organizations with potential volunteers in the two county area. The secondary goal involves connecting area nonprofits to improved volunteer management training.

Will this service cost anything to the volunteers involved?
No, the online database for the LBvision website is completely free of charge for volunteers.

Is LBvision a nonprofit service?
Yes, LBvision is a nonprofit service and is a program of the Linn-Benton RSVP, a designated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization named LInn-Benton Volunteers.

How does the LBvision website work?
The way LBvision works is simple. First of all, nonprofit organizations can sign up online to get the information about their program posted on the LBvision website. Then, volunteers search through the list of organizations posted on the website to decide which organization(s) they would like to volunteer for.

How will the organization I am interested in volunteering for contact me?
When a volunteer finds a potential site they are interested in volunteering for, they click on the request more information link, type in the information desired, and then that information is sent to the organization via email. The organization will in turn contact the person for future volunteer opportunities, via email or telephone.

Can nonprofit organizations search for volunteers directly?
No, the organizations cannot search for volunteers directly, but the volunteers can directly search for potential volunteer sites through LBvision.

Will my email and personal details be kept private?
LBvision does not share its email or contact lists with any third parties.

Is there an age requirement to join LBvision?
No, there is no age requirement to use the services of the LBvision Volunteer Center. It is up to the organizations listed on the website to determine the age of the volunteers that they would like to recruit. Even though LBvision is a program of RSVP, which has an age requirement of 55 and over to join, anyone of any age can volunteer through LBvision.
