Additionally, our program promotes the REUSE of furniture through donations and diverts household items from the landfill. During 2008, BFS diverted 34.73 tons of furniture from the landfill and redistributed 3,611 items to 1,506 households.

CSC YouthBuild   view details
 CSC YouthBuild is a comprehensive youth and community development program operated by Community Services Consortium. The program helps low income youth (17-21 years old) complete or continue their education, learn valuable job skills, and become gainfully employed.
While in the CSC YouthBuild Program, youth complete their high school education through our alternative school. Alternating weeks are spent in the classroom and on the job site. The job site is a Habitat for Humanity house where they learn construction skills. Students also participate in community service projects throughout the week.
