About LBvision
The Linn-Benton Volunteer Information Service (LBvision) is a virtual volunteer center…and more. LBvision is dedicated to increasing resources for the nonprofit and public domain in Linn and Benton counties, Oregon. It acts as a connection between organizations and the citizens wishing to volunteer in their communities. The goal of LBvision is to mobilize people and resources to address eminent social concerns in our local communities.
The LBvision website, created and administered by Linn-Benton RSVP, is an outcome of the Intergenerational Coalition Task Force, consisting of the Foster Grandparent Program, SMART and other community members. The website membership is available for free to public and nonprofit organizations that use volunteers in Linn and Benton counties.
LBvision members receive our quarterly newsletter, and are encouraged to attend our quarterly meetings of the Linn-Benton volunteer administrators.
The interactive website enables volunteers to access information in the comfort of their homes, libraries, or senior centers, to discover the volunteer options available to them in their communities. It also offers information for volunteer administrators.
Recent AARP research shows that 50% of the general population plans to volunteer upon retirement, with most of them citing a 'sense of satisfaction' and 'sharing special skills' as their primary motivators. LBvision members are committed to providing appropriate volunteer work is essential to the success of volunteer experience.
Sponsored by Community Services Consortium, RSVP has operated locally for over 30 years as a nonprofit volunteer resource.
